The Hope HBD series of resin bond synthetic diamond is a type of polycrystalline diamond widely used in the production of resin bond diamond grinding wheels
The Hope HBD series of polycrystalline diamond consists of multiple sub-crystals with an embedded structure, featuring irregular crystal shapes, rough surfaces, excellent brittleness, and superior self-sharpening properties. Its high grinding efficiency, long service life, and superior surface finish provide exceptional performance for grinding various non-ferrous materials such as tungsten carbide, silicon nitride, aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, optical glass, glass, and ceramics.

HBD4(AC4) | Characteristics: Most brittle and weakest among resin-bond diamonds; dark gray color; excellent self-sharpening. Micro-fracturing enables superior grinding under low loads. Applications: Ideal for low-load resin-bond grinding tools. Used in precision machining of cemented carbides, optical glass, and ultra-high-quality fine grinding. |
HBD6(AC6) | Features: A polycrystalline diamond with moderate brittleness and strength among resin bond diamonds. Gray-green color with good self-sharpening. Balances grinding performance and tool life. Applications: Ideal for medium-load resin bond grinding tools. Used in rough and semi-finish machining of hard alloys, optical glass, and other brittle non-metallic materials. |
HRD | Features: Highest-strength irregular single crystal in resin bond diamonds. Yellow-green color, rough sharp surface.
Applications: Ideal for heavy-load resin bond grinding tools. Used on brittle materials including gemstones, stone, ceramic tiles, glass, and rough machining of hard alloys. An economical option with high grinding efficiency. |
