Polycrystalline Diamond Micron Powder
As a new type of grinding material, it offers unique advantages in sapphire grinding and processing that other materials do not possess. Its grinding efficiency is 2 to 4 times that of single crystal diamond, and it does not cause scratches, achieving a high surface finish. It has wide-ranging applications in high-tech fields such as electronics, aerospace, and aviation.
The Hope HPDM series of polycrystalline diamond Micro-powder is a nanodiamond aggregate synthesized under transient ultra-high pressure and high temperature through explosion, similar to the black diamond found in a small number of meteorites in nature. It is a poly-crystal composed of cubic diamond and hexagonal diamond, characterized by high toughness, high self-sharpening properties, and high hardness.
Due to the continuous expansion of the application fields of new technologies in industries such as LED in recent years, the use of polycrystalline diamond powder has increased significantly and the demand has continued to increase.
Product Performance:
1. Structure & Properties: Features a polycrystalline structure resembling rare black natural diamond, with black-gray color and metallic luster. Exhibits excellent toughness and self-sharpening capabilities.
2. Grinding Efficiency: Offers 2–4 times higher grinding efficiency compared to impact-synthesized static pressure/natural single-crystal diamond, silicon oxide, corundum, and other abrasives.
3. Grinding Precision: Unprecedented improvement in surface finish:
* 2–4μm powder: Workpiece surface roughness R < 1.6nm
* 0–0.5μm powder: Workpiece surface roughness Ra = 1.3–1.4nm
* 0–0.125μm powder: Workpiece surface roughness Ra < 0.1nm
4. Scratch-Free Grinding: Spherical particle shape prevents surface scratches on workpieces, significantly improving grinding yield.
5. Versatile Applications: Can be chemically plated onto inner walls (e.g., cylinders), providing superior wear resistance over any other material.
Applications of Polycrystalline Diamond Micro-powder:
