PCD center for machining high precision shafts

At present, most of the tungsten carbide dead centers in the market are in use, but for some high-end, high-hardness products, tungsten carbide materials wear very quickly during use, the processing accuracy cannot be guaranteed, and the service life is poor, resulting in frequent replacement of the top. In addition, each replacement of the top requires fine-tuning of the equipment, which causes too much redundant labor for workers, reduces the stability of the product, and greatly affects the processing efficiency.


In response to the current market demand, we have specially developed super-hard diamond dead center materials. Diamond tops are made of diamond polycrystalline silicon material. Special technology is used to embed the dead center base, and the dead center base is made of high-strength steel. The hardness of diamond polycrystalline material is second only to natural diamond.

Advantages of PCD dead center

► Ultra-high wear resistance, service life is 80-180 times that of carbide center.

► Good thermal conductivity, reducing friction and heat during work, avoiding the center hole of the workpiece from being burned and deformed, causing the center position to change and affecting the processing accuracy.

► The friction coefficient is greatly reduced, which greatly reduces the friction resistance. And the vibration of the workpiece improves the processing accuracy.

► Polycrystalline diamond shows good chemical inertness at 650℃, is resistant to strong acids and alkalis, and is suitable for working conditions under various working conditions.
